Croesor has always had a reputation for attracting artists to the valley. The natural beauty together with the stunning light are a great source of inspiration. Many artists past and present have visited and even made their home in Cwm Croesor.
Oriel Caffi Croesor has two exhibition spaces. The downstairs gallery is a spacious, light filled space with a natural slate floor which lends itself to a variety of different artworks. In the past the gallery has held exhibitions by many renowned Welsh artists including Elfyn Lewis, David Grosvenor, Steven John Owen, Eleanor Brooks, Marged Pendrell, Jan Gardener , amongst many others.
Bev Dunne who currently runs the caffi is also an artist and has made her home in the valley. Her paintings and textile work can be found displayed in both the caffi and the upstairs gallery. The upstairs gallery as well as displaying work by local artists, also incorporates cafe tables and a comfortable seating area. Here you can relax enjoy our home-cooked food whilst admiring the variety of work we exhibit here.
A percentage of the commission on all sales of work exhibited in the gallery is donated to Cyfeillion Croesor. This will be used for the upkeep of the buildings and future community projects within Croesor.
